Statement
"Art for me, is an extension of my true self and an outlet to channel my most vulnerable emotions, thoughts, ideas and issues in the healthiest way possible." Although a lot of my work focuses on the surrealistic expression of characters, my most recent series "Illustrated Interiors" is entirely dedicated to depicting the design of living spaces, furnished completely by Indian brands of interior and furniture companies. I believe in making art that is honest and unpretentious.

The Artist
I, Krishnamithra graduated from the Srishti School of Art,Design and Technology in 2015. Although I always showed a keen interest in Visual Art, I built up the courage to display my art only in my late 20s.
My debut series "Celestial Navigation" was showcased at the "Queer and Allied Art " festival in 2016 and was covered by New Indian express. My next series "Recurring Dreams" was in 2019, where I made news on the Chennai Times after an incredibly successful show over two days.

I am an Interior Designer by profession, currently leading design and execution in a family-owned design studio- Form and Function.
Medium
I am proficient with various art mediums. I often use a mix of watercolor or acrylics and ink as physical mediums but I prefer not to limit myself with mediums. In the year 2018, I completed a professional tattooing course, certifying me as a trained tattoo artist. Unfortunately, I had to halt that practice to focus on my Interior Designing career. I work on digital illustrations as well.
